If you’ve been following along on social media, you know that we have spent the last few months renovating the main floor of our personal home. Today, we finally get to reveal the kitchen details! Thank you so much for following along on this journey of our personal renovation as we have taken our 1960s galley kitchen and given it new life, a new layout, and a whole lot more style.
As a reminder, here is where we began—in all of its yellow and brown glory! While it had quite a bit of storage and some functional features, the finishes were tired, the cabinets were starting to break, and the layout left a lot to be desired.
We removed one wall and built another to create a layout that is both beautiful and highly functional. We channeled a historic-inspired, English cottage style with a neutral palette and lots of natural textures and materials to create our dream kitchen! Can you even believe the first picture below and the before picture directly above are the same angle??? We are still having trouble believing it ourselves.
We wish we could invite each of you over for coffee in the new space and show you around, but a video tour will have to suffice. In this kitchen tour, we are sharing every design detail and the stories behind the choices we made throughout the space.
Be sure to check out ALL the photos of the kitchen reveal, dining spaces, and more on our portfolio page. Thanks so much for following along!
