Behind the Scenes of Peach and Pine

So, there’s a ton going on right now with Peach and Pine, and, honestly, sometimes it’s overwhelming! As you know by now, we are launching a podcast NEXT WEEK that we are SO excited about and can’t wait to share with you. We are obviously working daily with our clients on several renovations AND are figuring out how to transition me (Jeremy) into my full-time role with the business. We have a lot of big picture dreams that are as scary as they are exciting, and we feel the ground moving and shaking with expectation.

One thing we’ve been thinking a lot about is how to communicate what we do as a design team to the general public. We’ve got some content cooking that will help explain this a little better over the coming weeks (including the podcast), but I wanted to just relay some of our thoughts we’ve had recently about design as a whole in open format here.

How We See Our Role

A lot of people think that an interior design team comes into a mostly finished project and puts the cherry on top (or whatever toppings you like on your ice cream…you get the idea). This can be shopping and styling, accessorizing here and there, and generally making your space instagrammable. Of course, this is what people want to think of – a beautiful finished product, which, yes, is part of what we do.

Anyone who has built a home or done a renovation knows that it is a journey. We see ourselves as the road map for that journey. From the beginning of the project we are there to guide you, give you alternate routes when roadblocks arise, and continually encourage you by saying “in .3-miles, turn left” in a British accent. I may have taken the analogy too far…

More Than The End Result

We can’t speak for every interior design team, but for us the process starts at the beginning of your project – the planning, the dreaming, the designing. We want to help form your vision and make it a reality. That’s why we have a team of custom woodworkers and handymen and contractors on call so that you as the client don’t have to try to hodgepodge together a group to make your home dreams a reality. We know what it takes to complete a renovation or a new build, and we help alleviate stress and encourage along the way.

That’s why we love what we do. Where you live is important, and we love helping people love where they live (hey, that sounds like a good podcast idea). It’s more than making a pretty space and, honestly, it’s more than making a functional space or creating a great client experience along the way – all of which we absolutely pride ourselves in! For us, it comes down to this question – does what we do help you love your family better and live a more fulfilled life?

Our goal is that each of our clients would answer “yes” to that question.
